The Chicago Cubs have settled into a consistent starting lineup lately after making numerous tweaks over the course over the season, but they still haven't found a regular third baseman. Josh Vitters is starting for the team on Monday, but the former first round pick has struggled badly in his first MLB stint.
Since being called up, Vitters has split time at third base with Luis Valbuena, but neither has been able to hit at all in the big leagues this season. Vitters has a .102/.118/.204 line in the first 51 plate appearances of his career, so it's obvious that he still has some work to do.
