Cubs Vs. Cardinals Preview: Saturday Game Schedule, TV Info And More

Stay connected for news and updates

The Cubs are looking to even their series against the NL Central Division rival St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday, since the Red Birds handed the Cubbies a 9-6 loss in the opener. The Cardinals hit five home runs in that game.

Jeff Samardzija (7-8, 4.25 ERA) will get the start for Chicago, facing Cardinals pitcher Joe Kelly. Samardzija gave up just one hit in eight innings pitched when the Cubs defeated the Pirates, 2-0, on July 23. And it's not just that game, but Samardzija has been having a great month, going 2-1 with a 1.67 ERA in four starts.

The Cubs will need him to be brilliant once again while going against this Cardinals lineup that's been getting it done offensively.

Here is a look at the game schedule for Saturday:

Date/Time: Saturday, July 28, 12:05 p.m. CT

TV: Comcast SportsNet
