Ian Stewart Injury: Cubs 3B Will Have Wrist Surgery, Miss At Least 6 Weeks

Injured Chicago Cubs third baseman Ian Stewart is going to undergo a procedure on his left wrist that is expected to keep him out for a minimum of six weeks and may prevent him from playing in another game this season.

Stewart himself tweeted Sunday that the recovery would be anywhere from six to 10 weeks.

In 55 games played for the Cubs in 2012, Stewart has hit .201/.292/.335 with five doubles, five home runs and 17 RBI.
