The Chicago Cubs have put together an impressive stretch at Wrigley Field by winning nine of their last 11 games at home, and on Thursday they have a chance to win their series against the Miami Marlins with a victory in the rubber match. Paul Maholm (7-6, 4.33 ERA) will take the mound opposite Miami starter Mark Buehrle (9-8, 3.13 ERA) as each team looks to build some momentum in the second half of the season. Maholm has been good in the month of July, posting a 1.29 ERA and striking out 10 batters over 14.0 total innings, but Buehrle has been quite impressive as well recently.
