Paul Maholm is set to take the hill for the Chicago Cubs on Saturday night at Chase Field vs. the Arizona Diamondbacks, who have now won three of their last four games. The Diamondbacks polished off the Cubs 6-1 in the series opener on Friday night. If Maholm is to find success, he'd certainly appreciate some support from his offense. Since exploding for 12 runs against the White Sox on Monday, the Cubs have combined to score just three runs over their last three games.

Maholm enters at 4-5 with a 4.88 ERA and 1.32 WHIP. He'll be opposed by Arizona's 27-year old right-hander Ian Kennedy, who is 5-7 this season with a 4.13 ERA and 1.29 WHIP.
