Boston's three-run seventh inning broke a 3-3 tie and propelled the Red Sox to a 7-4 win over the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field on Sunday night.

The Chicago Cubs loaded the bases with no outs in the bottom of the ninth inning, which brought the game-tying run to the plate. David DeJesus hit a fly ball to the warning track in center to score one run, but that's as far as the Cubs' rally would get. Reed Johnson struck out and Darwin Barney popped out to end the game.
The Cubs dropped to 22-44 overall with the loss; they begin a three-game series with the White Sox on Monday.
