Cubs Vs. Phillies Final Score: Chicago Wins 5-1

The Chicago Cubs bounced back from Saturday's defeat by limiting the Philadelphia Phillies to just two hits in a 5-1 victory on Sunday afternoon. Cubs starter Matt Garza was dominant over seven innings before the bullpen came in and finished one of the team's best pitching performance of the season.

Over his seven innings, Garza had little trouble against the Phillies offense, striking out ten hitters while giving up one walk and one hit apiece. Rafael Dolis came in to give the Cubs a perfect eighth inning, then Carlos Marmol got the save after letting the game-tying run come to the plate in the ninth with the bases loaded.

Bryan LaHair had a big day for the Cubs with three hits, including two doubles, and Joe Mather provided a solo home run in the fourth inning. Jeff Baker and Tony Campana also notched two hits apiece.
