Cubs Vs. Phillies Preview: Chicago Can Start A Winning Streak On Saturday

Stay connected for news and updates

The Chicago Cubs opened their four-game set against the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday night with an impressive 5-1 victory over Roy Halladay, and now Chicago can start a winning streak with another win on Saturday night. Randy Wells (0-0, 3.60) gets the start for the Cubs, while the Phillies will send Joe Blanton (1-3, 4.34) to the mound. As noted by Al Yellon of Bleed Cubbie Blue, Philly has been without, Ryan Howard and Chase Utley, while Jimmy Rollins is hitting just .216 to start the season, so this isn't the same same offensive juggernaut you might be used to in the NL East.

Tony Campana had a nice night on Friday with two singles, two runs scored and a key stolen base to jump start the offense in the fourth inning. He is hitting .389 for the Cubs since being called up, and hopefully he can continue to produce well in the coming weeks.

Here is the basic information you need to find the game on Saturday night:

Starting Pitchers: Randy Wells (0-0, 3.60) vs. Joe Blanton (1-3, 4.34)

Game Date & Time: Saturday, April 28, 6:05 pm CT

Location: Citizens Bank Park, Philadelphia, PA

TV: WGN
