Those waiting for Wednesday afternoon's game between the Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals will have to wait a bit longer, as Paul Sullivan of the Chicago Tribune reports that the game is being delayed due to rain. The scheduled start time for the game was 1:20 p.m. CST, but Sullivan says it's unclear how long the delay will last at this point.
Cubs game delayed. Not sure how long yet. Stay in your bar until further notice.

The Cubs are hoping that they can finally coax a quality start out of Chris Volstad, who was acquired from the Marlins in the Carlos Zambrano deal over the offseason. Volstad has a 6.19 ERA over 16 innings in his first three starts, all of which have been Cubs losses.
