Cubs Vs. Padres Final Score: San Diego Prevails, 12-11

In a back-and-forth game that did not lack for offense, the San Diego Padres scored the final six runs of the game to claim a 12-11 victory over the Chicago Cubs in Cactus League play on Thursday afternoon. Down 6-5, Chicago scored four runs in the fifth inning, then added two more in the sixth to take an 11-6 lead. But San Diego answered with two runs of its own in the bottom half of the sixth, scored one run in the seventh, and picked up three in the eighth.

Chris Volstad got the start for Chicago and gave up six runs and nine hits in 4-2/3 innings of work. Darwin Barney had a big day at the plate for the Cubs, going 4-4 with one RBI.
