Chicago Cubs reliever Carlos Marmol left Tuesday's game against the Texas Rangers after less than an inning of work. According to MLB.com's Carrie Muskat, Marmol was experiencing cramps in his right hand and will undergo a precautionary MRI as a result.

The right-hander started the seventh inning and got the first two batters out, then hit the Rangers’ Chris Robinson. Marmol threw two pitches to Mike Olt and athletic trainer Ed Halbur and manager Dale Sveum went to the mound, and the right-hander was pulled.

After the game, Marmol said he is not concerned about the injury.
