The Chicago Cubs have split up the squad to play a pair of games Tuesday afternoon, and over in their contest with the Texas Rangers, closer Carlos Marmol suffered an apparent injury that forced him to leave the game early.

Marmol entered in the seventh inning and got two batters out before getting some attention on the mound and ultimately leaving the game. No further details have been made available at this point. When he left the game, the Cubs and Rangers were tied 2-2.
