Astros vs. Cubs preview: Chicago try to dust themselves off vs. Houston

Stay connected for news and updates

The Cubs weren't able to avoid a 100 loss season on Monday, but they'll try to pick up another win this year against the Houston Astros on Tuesday. Chris Volstad (3-11, 6.64 ERA) will try to bank one more good start this year, and faces Houston's Bud Norris (6-13, 4.82 ERA).

This series is the first matchup of 100 game losers in 50 years. Another loss by the Astros would set a franchise record for losses in a season with 107, and a win would give them their first three game winning streak since late May.

Volstad had a rough outing in his last start, giving up seven runs on ten hits over three innings in Colorado. Norris is coming off his own rough spell, having just won his previous start to snap a personal 18 game streak without a win.

First pitch from Wrigley Field is at 7:05 p.m. CT. The game can be seen locally on CSN+.
