Bob Brenly will not return to the WGN booth in 2013.

Chicago Cubs fans will hear a new voice when they tune into WGN in 2013. Per Steve Gilbert, Bob Brenly will not return to the WGN booth in 2013.

Beginning in the 2005 season, Brenly replaced Steve Stone as a color analyst for the Cubs, and has served as Chicago's color analyst ever since. Brenly had been paired with Len Kasper, but it appears that Kasper will have a new partner next April.

Prior to broadcasting, Brenly served as the Arizona Diamondbacks' manager, between 2001-2004. Brenly led the D'Backs to a 2001 World Series title, when the Diamondbacks defeated Mariano Rivera and the New York Yankees, in one of the most dramatic World Series of all time.

As a manager, Brenly has a career 302-262 record, and led Arizona to two postseason appearances.

Brenly had a modest playing career as well. Brenly was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in 1976, and made his major league debut with the Giants in 1981. Brenly also played with the Toronto Blue Jays in 1989.
