The Cubs would have every reason to just mail in the season and look forward to a nice vacation in the offseason. The North Siders have shown this week that they are professionals, and will try to win every game they can and end on a positive note. Randy Wells will get the start Sunday looking to not only sweep the Reds, but to also increase their winning streak to eight games. Wells started off poorly for the Cubs but has pitched better of late. The Cubs righty is 3-4 on the season with an ERA of 5.89. Sunday Wells will go for his third win in his last four starts and has pitched great against the Reds in his career. In seven career starts against Cincinnati, Wells is 4-1 with an ERA of 2.64.
Pitching for Cincinnati on Sunday will be veteran Bronson Arroyo. Arroyo is 7-9 on the season with an ERA of 5.45. The Reds righty has pitched well at Wrigley Field. In his last five outings at Wrigley, Arroyo is 4-0 with an ERA of 1.95.
