Cubs Release 2012 Spring Training Schedule

Prospects such as Brett Jackson and Josh Vitters will battle for roster spots beginning in March 2012.

For the Cubs, next year is only a little over four months away, and fans will be able to get their first look at Theo Epstein's team beginning in the first week of March 2012. The Cubs' Spring Training schedule has them playing 16 "home" games at their facility in Mesa, Ariz., to go along with 17 road games and two games against a yet to be determined opponent in Las Vegas.

Individual tickets for Cubs Spring Training games will go on sale on Jan. 5 at 10 a.m. CT at www.cubs.com.

Here is the full schedule (all games at 1:05 p.m. MT unless noted otherwise):

March 6 vs. Rockies, Mesa

March 7  at Royals, Surprise

March 8 vs. Mariners, Mesa

March 13 at Giants, Scottsdal
