Metta World Peace has said plenty of crazy things before, but could this be the craziest?
↵Peace says the Lakers' goal is to break the 1996 Bulls' single-season wins record of 72-10 and go 73-9, according to CSN Chicago.
↵↵↵"We definitely want to beat the Bulls record and go 73-9, that's definitely something that I want to do," World Peace said in a radio interview. "Whoever is out there at the beginning of the season then we gotta get it. It's as simple as that. We just have to go get it."
↵
To be fair, Peace isn't straight-up saying the Lakers WILL break the record, but even bringing up the '96 Bulls when talking about this Lakers team — or any team — seems a bit outlandish. We shall see.
