Metta World Peace Says Lakers' Goal Is To Break '96 Bulls Wins Record

Stay connected for news and updates

Metta World Peace has said plenty of crazy things before, but could this be the craziest?

Peace says the Lakers' goal is to break the 1996 Bulls' single-season wins record of 72-10 and go 73-9, according to CSN Chicago.

"We definitely want to beat the Bulls record and go 73-9, that's definitely something that I want to do," World Peace said in a radio interview. "Whoever is out there at the beginning of the season then we gotta get it. It's as simple as that. We just have to go get it."

To be fair, Peace isn't straight-up saying the Lakers WILL break the record, but even bringing up the '96 Bulls when talking about this Lakers team — or any team — seems a bit outlandish. We shall see.
