Bulls Offseason 2012: Derrick Rose To Become Father Soon, According To Report

Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose and his girlfriend, Mieka Blackman Reese, are expecting a son in the near future, as Michael Sneed of the Chicago Sun Times reports. It will be Rose's first child, making the young Bulls superstar a father.

These days, Rose has been in Los Angeles rehabbing his surgically repaired knee after tearing an ACL against the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round of the playoffs. As others have noted, one has to imagine that the young guard welcomes some positive news after a battling through a tough NBA season before missing out on the Olympics.

Now, Rose will soon join fellow superstars like Clippers point guard Chris Paul in fatherhood, a major event for any person regardless of their unique circumstances. As one of the most grounded stars in all of sports, you'd like to believe that Rose will make one awesome dad.
