Veteran forward Antwan Jamison had a two-year, $8 million offer from the Charlotte Bobcats, but the 36-year old will instead head to the Los Angeles Lakers on a one-year deal for the veteran's minimum. Jamison averaged 17.2 points and 6.3 rebounds per game last season in 65 games with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Jamison will join the 38-year old Steve Nash and the soon to be 34-year old Kobe Bryant to give the Lakers what might be the NBA's most seasoned roster.
Here's what else is happening around the NBA...
- Center JaVale McGee is staying with the Denver Nuggets on a four-year, $44 million deal. The 24-year old 7-footer averaged 11.3 points per game last season for the Nuggets and Wizards.
- The Portland Trail Blazers are matching the offer sheet the Minnesota Timberwolves gave small forward Nicolas Batum. The small forward will get a $1.5 signing bonus.
- Portland is also poised to sign guard Ronnie Price.
- The Houston Rockets have waived Jon Leuer and Jerome Jordan. Once the players clear waivers, Houston will be set to officially sign Omer Asik to a three-year, $25 million offer sheet.
