Bulls Vs. 76ers Score Update: Chicago Trails 44-42 At Halftime

The Chicago Bulls are trailing 44-42 at halftime against the Philadelphia 76ers following a three-point shot with roughly five seconds left in the half by Spencer Hawes. Entering Sunday, Philadelphia leads the seven-game series 2-1.

Chicago struggled badly in the first quarter but found some traction in the second quarter, especially on offense. After an abysmal first quarter performance from the field, the Bulls are at 44 percent shooting from the field, and they followed up a 15-point effort in the first quarter with 27 points in the second.

Philadelphia is shooting just 37 percent from the field so far, but center Spencer Hawes has absolutely carried that offense so far. After that final long-distance shot, Hawes leads the Sixers with 17 points and six rebounds on 7-of-8 shooting as their go-to player. On the perimeter, Lou Williams, Jrue Holiday and Evan Turner are shooting a combined 4-of-28 (14 percent).

Taj Gibson has been huge for Chicago off the bench, putting up 12 points, eight rebounds and a pair of blocks in just 15 minutes of play. Carlos Boozer is also in double-figures with 10 points and five rebounds, plus Luol Deng has six points.
