After a brutal showing in the second half of Game 2, the Chicago Bulls are hoping to get back to the winning ways against the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night. After splitting two games at home, the Bulls are hoping that they can take back the series lead despite not having the home crowd or Derrick Rose.
There's still a good deal of hope for Chicago in this series given the team's depth and the success it had without Rose during the offseason, but things looked dire in Game 2. A 109-92 drubbing was punctuated by uncharacteristically slopped defense in the second half, the kind of issues that seemingly go beyond just the point guard position.
When the shots stopped falling in the second half, the Bulls' defense started to fell apart. They can't let that become a habit if they're going to beat Philadelphia, especially on the road.
