The Chicago Bulls haven't set a timetable for Derrick Rose's upcoming surgery after tearing his ACL over the weekend, as Nick Friedell of ESPN Chicago reports. The injury will keep Rose out for the remainder of the playoffs and it could potentially impact the beginning of next season for the point guard, too.
No timetable has been set for surgery. Rose will meet will doctors over the next few days before finalizing details.— Nick Friedell (@ESPNChiBulls) April 29, 2012
After dealing with a variety of minor injuries over the course of the regular season, things finally blew up in Game 1 of the playoffs against the Philadelphia 76ers. With just over a minute left in an obvious Chicago victory, Rose injured himself while falling awkwardly.
