Derrick Rose Injury: Bulls Guard Hurt Late In Chicago Victory

Stay connected for news and updates

With Chicago Bulls up 12 points with just over a minute to play, star point guard Derrick Rose landed awkwardly on his left knee and had to be helped off the court. The injury clouded Chicago's 103-91 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 1 of the teams' opening round playoff series.

Rose was excellent before the injury, finishing with 23 points, nine rebounds and nine assists. Coach Tom Thibodeau will certainly draw criticism for having Rose in the game with the Bulls ahead by such a comfortable margin so late in the game.

While Chicago dominated Game 1, a serious injury to Rose drastically changes the Bulls' playoff outlook.
