Bulls Vs. Rockets Preview: Chicago Looks To Bounce Back After Blowout Loss

The Chicago Bulls (42-12) host the Houston Rockets (28-25) in a battle of banged up squads coming off of Sunday losses.

The Chicago Bulls have been solid and steady during Derrick Rose's extended absence, but the bottom, maybe quite predictably, fell out on Sunday vs. the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Bulls were run out of the building to the tune of 92-78, but that final score masks what was at one point a thirty point lead for Kevin Durant and company. But another day brings another game, and the Bulls will get a chance to wash the taste out of their mouths on Monday night as they return home to host the Houston Rockets.

The Rockets themselves are coming off of a loss on Sunday night as well, as they fell to the Indiana Pacers 104-102 in overtime. The Rockets also find themselves in something close to the Bulls' predicament as it pertains to injuries, with starting point guard Kyle Lowry (bacterial infection) and starting shooting guard Kevin Martin (strained right shoulder) both missing last night's game and unlikely to take the floor tonight in Chicago. Lowry is no Rose, obviously, but both he and Martin carry much of the load offensively for the Rockets and the team has had to rely on career back ups Goran Dragic and Courtney Lee in their stead.
