The Chicago Bulls will follow an emotional victory over the Miami Heat on Thursday night by taking the court vs. the Detroit Pistons, a team that they've defeated 14 straight times. It's unclear whether Tom Thibodeau will choose to rest his banged up backcourt of Derrick Rose and Richard Hamilton, but even if he does, the Bulls should have little trouble taking care of a Detroit team that has lost four of its last five.
The teams last met at the tail end of March, when the Bulls defeated the Pistons 83-71 with Rose and Hamilton watching from the bench. It was a game that was a perfect encapsulation of the 2012 Bulls, with Chicago's suffocating defense holding the Pistons to just over 70 points while the bench chipped in with punishing rebounding and just enough scoring.
Greg Monroe, the Pistons star center, did put up 15 points, 10 rebounds and five assists in that game, and if the Bulls should be scared of anything on Sunday, it's a monster game from the guy who, depending on what happens with Rose, may be the best all-around player on the court.
Game time/date: Sunday, April 15, 5 p.m. CT
Location: The Palace of Auburn HIlls, Auburn HIlls, Mich.
Odds: Chicago by 9
