Derrick Rose tested out his ankle prior to Thursday's game against the Miami Heat, and it's improved enough to allow him to get back into the Bulls' starting lineup.

That's good news ahead of what may be a pivotal game for seeding in the Eastern Conference playoffs. Rose returned April 8 after a 12-game absence related to a groin injury, and it was in that return game that he hurt the ankle. He sat out Tuesday night's win over the Knicks.

Chicago is 28-7 with Rose and 16-7 without him this season.
