Howard Smith-USA TODAY Sports

The Chicago Bulls are hanging tough as they wait for Derrick Rose to return and sit in the top 10 of all NBA power rankings.

The Chicago Bulls continue to remain above .500 as they wait for the return of star point guard Derrick Rose. At 13-10, the Bulls lead the Central Division and are in the top 10 of all the various NBA power rankings from around the web.

In Seth Rosenthal's power rankings at SB Nation, Chicago comes in at No. 9, but Rosenthal worries about coach Tom Thibodeau's overuse of his top players. Over at ESPN, Marc Stein has the Bulls at No. 10 and agrees with Rosenthal, noting that both Joakim Noah and Luol Deng are averaging over 40 minutes per game. Stein's colleague John Hollinger may have moved on to work for the Grizzlies, but his power ranking algorithm remains in place and has Chicago at No. 9. The Bulls also come in at No. 9 in John Schuhmann's power rankings at NBA.com and in Matt Moore's rankings at CBS.

Overall that gives the Bulls an average power ranking of 9.2. With games against the Celtics, Knicks and Hawks this week the Bulls have a chance to improve on that ranking.
