Bulls' Joakim Noah regrets failing to get fans Big Macs

Dennis Wierzbicki-US PRESSWIRE

Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah regrets his decision to attempt a last-second three-pointer in an effort to win fans at the United Center a free Big Mac, during Chicago's 99-93 win over the Orlando Magic.

Joakim Noah regrets his last-second decision on Tuesday night, as the center attempted a three-pointer with just 3.8 seconds on the clock -- despite the fact that the Chicago Bulls led the Orlando Magic, 99-93.

Noah attempted the three-pointer because of a promotion at the United Center this season, which enables fans to receive a free Big Mac if the Bulls exceed 100 points in a home contest.

Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau wasn't happy with Noah's decision, however, and "spoke" to Noah privately after the contest.

"I talked to him about it, but I'm going to keep that private," Thibodeau said after Wednesday's practice.

Noah elaborated on his decision after the game.

I was trying to get the people a Big Mac. They really wanted a Big Mac (judging by how loud the crowd was getting) and I felt like, not only did I take the shot and miss the shot, we didn't even get the Big Mac.

Noah did add that he regrets taking the shot, and that he'll pass on the three-pointer next time.

Fans had a chance to win a free Big Mac prior to Noah's shot, when Kirk Hinrich was at the free throw line, but missed both shots prior to Noah's three-point attempt.

The Bulls will have opportunities on Thursday and Saturday to win fans at the United Center Big Macs, as Chicago will play host to the Oklahoma City Thunder and Minnesota Timberwolves.
