Derrick Rose tweets out first pictures of new baby

David Banks-US PRESSWIRE

Derrick Rose has been rehabbing from a knee injury since he tore his ACL in the NBA playoffs.

Derrick Rose tweeted out three pictures of his baby son, Derrick Jr., on Tuesday morning. Girlfriend Mieka Reese gave birth to Derrick Jr. some time in October, though very little is known about the baby. Reese is the niece of former NBA All-Star Tim Hardaway.

Rose has previously tried to keep the relationship and pregnancy out of the media spotlight. Here are some pictures of the baby, whom Rose called "My lil man PJ."

Rose is not expected to return to action for the Chicago Bulls for several months. The latest estimate on his rehab had him back around February or March. The rehab from knee surgery has been slow, and Bulls fans have not gotten many updates.

Without Rose, the Bulls have started the season at 2-1. On Tuesday night they'll host the Orlando Magic. So far for Chicago, Joakim Noah leads the team with 14.7 points and 8.7 rebounds per game.
