The Chicago Bulls are hoping to continue their best start to a season since 1996-97 Friday, as they visit Eastern Conference rival, Orlando Magic, at the Amway Center in Orlando, FL (8 p.m. on ESPN). The Bulls (6-1) will be playing their second of three straight road games, while the Magic (5-2) are trying to remain unbeaten at home (4-0).
On Wednesday, behind a 17-point, 10-assists effort from point guard Derrick Rose the Bulls easily defeated the Detroit Pistons, 99-83. However, during the game Rose banged his elbow on the floor last in the fourth quarter. According to Rose, the elbow had to be wrapped and was sore, but X-rays were negative and he should be fine for Friday's game.
Meanwhile, the Magic are coming off a solid performance Wednesday against the visiting Washington Wizards, who was blown out 103-85. In the contest, Orlando center Dwight Howard tallied a season-best 28 points and 20 rebounds, while Ryan Anderson added 25 points and 13 boards.
The last time these two franchise meet was back in April when Rose netted a 39 points in a victory in Orlando.
