Luol Deng Injury Update: Bulls' Star Forward Has Torn Ligament

The latest news for injured Chicago Bulls SF Luol Deng is not good:

Though the injury will probably require surgery, Deng has elected to finish out the season rather than go under the knife. According to K.C. Johnson of the Tribune, Deng suggested his biggest adjustment will be learning to play with pain, saying: "I'll be fine. Definetly disappointed. Gotta get the pain level down."

Luol Dengs' stats have been All-Star worthy in the 2011-2012 season. He leads the league with 689 minutes played, is 15th in the league with 105 rebounds, is 19th in defensive rating with 96.0 and is 5th in defensive win shares with 1.3.

The 26-year-old South Sudan native is currently in his 7th NBA season, all coming with the Bulls.
