The Chicago Bulls have pulled off a draft day trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Bulls have sent picks 28 and 43 to the T-Wolves for the rights to Nikola Mirotic.
Mirotic was selected by Minnesota with the 23rd pick. The power forward from Spain isn’t likely to play for the Bulls for at least four seasons. Mirotic is currently under contract with Real Madrid and the buyout would be expensive.
This trade was made by the Bulls most likely to avoid having two more guaranteed contracts with a lockout looming.
