Multiple media outlets are reporting that Derrick Rose has been named the 2011 NBA MVP, as many have expected.

The 22-year old will be the youngest recipient of the award in league history after averaging 25 points, 7.7 assists and 4.1 rebounds in just his third season.

David Stern will be on hand to present the award before Wednesday’s Game 2 at the United Center.
