Chicago Bulls Training Camp 2011: Carlos Boozer Enters Camp In Better Shape

Carlos Boozer lost some weight during the offseason.

Chicago Bulls forward Carlos Boozer did not let the NBA lockout affect his work habits, and according to team general manager Gar Forman, Boozer may have come to camp 20 pounds lighter. When asked about it, coach Tom Thibodeau had this to say:

"He's in much better shape right now," Thibodeau said. "And he took his injury early on last year, the first week of camp. And he had a very good offseason. He's jumping again. It's still early, we've got a long way to go, but so far, so good."

Boozer said he feels "lighter, healthier," and noted that Chicago has a fast team that can get up and down the floor. He called point guard Derrick Rose "the fastest guy in the league with the ball."

It's good news that Boozer and the rest of the Bulls are in good shape, because the compressed regular season schedule is going to be tougher on everybody.
