BULLS ANALYSIS: Derrick Rose Has Off Night, But Bulls Win Anyway; Andray Blatche Video

In the fourth quarter, the Bulls shot only 4-for-15 from the floor. For the game, Derrick Rose missed all six of his three-point shots, although he did wind up with 25 points on 9-for-21 shooting. Taj Gibson, still suffering the effects of a concussion from last weekend, played only 31 seconds.

Nevertheless, Carlos Boozer’s double-double — he had 30 points and 10 rebounds — led the Bulls to a 87-80 win over the Wizards in Washington last night. This Bulls team has already had to deal with injuries to two key players — Boozer and now Joakim Noah — and yet they appear to be able to deal with adversity quite well. Gibson was quoted as saying that he was fine and could have played more — with a couple of days off, hopefully he’ll be close to 100% against the Knicks on Saturday morning.

Oh, and one more thing. With the departure of Gilbert Arenas, Andray Blatche is now the Wizards’ leading scorer with a 16.8 PPG average. However, if he keeps doing what he did in this video, that average is going to start going down real fast:

I’m pretty sure just about anyone could make a layup like that. Blatche wound up shooting 3-for-14 last night.

Bulls Come From Behind To Beat Wizards 87-80; Carlos Boozer Scores 30

Washington, DC (Sports Network) – Carlos Boozer rounded out his big night with a key basket in the final minute, and led the streaking Chicago Bulls to an 87-80 victory over the Washington Wizards.

Boozer finished with 30 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists for the Bulls, who have won two in a row and nine of 10. The only loss during that stretch was last Saturday’s 100-99 setback to the Clippers.

Derrick Rose ended with 25 points, but shot only 9-of-21 and missed all six of his three-point attempts.

Nick Young scored 22 points to lead the Wizards, who were coming off Monday’s win against Charlotte but lost for the eighth time in their last nine games. Kirk Hinrich provided 19 points and nine assists for Washington.

Chicago Bulls Vs. Washington Wizards: Rashard Lewis To Make Wizards Debut Against Bulls

The Bulls handled the Washington Wizards handily in the Wizards' visit to the United Center on Nov. 13.

But it's a new-look Wizards team that the Bulls will face in Washington tonight, after their blockbuster three-way trade on Saturday that sent Washington's Gilbert Arenas and Phoenix's Jason Richardson, Hedo Turkoglu and Earl Clark to the Orlando Magic; in return, the Wizards got Rashard Lewis and the Suns got Vince Carter, Marcin Gortat and Mickael Pietrus.

Got all that? OK, the only player from that deal the Bulls will see tonight is Lewis, who will be making his Wizards debut. Meanwhile, the Bulls are fresh off their 45-point demolition of the 76ers last night, and are just making a quick detour to Washington before their Christmas morning meetup with the Knicks at Madison Square Garden.

It'll also be a chance to renew acquaintances with former Bull Kirk Hinrich, who has two consecutive double-doubles. Also, Taj Gibson is expected to play tonight.

Tonight's game begins at 6 p.m. CST and will be on WCIU. If you are not among those who can get WCIU, the game is available nationally on NBA-TV.
