The Chicago Blackhawks got some unexpected news on Tuesday afternoon. Phoenix Coyotes G Mike Smith, who sustained a massive hit on Sunday's game, may not be available for the Tuesday night's Game 3:

The Blackhawks and Coyotes are tied 1-1 in the opening playoffs series after the Blackhawks completing a stunning 4-3 win in overtime. Smith finished Sunday's game despite the hit, and C Andrew Shaw, who delivered the hit, was ejected and is currently battling a suspension decision from the NHL league office.
Smith led the NHL in goalie point shares and was third in the league with a .930 save percentage.
