Blues Vs. Blackhawks Final Score: Chicago Wins 4-3 In Shootout

The Chicago Blackhawks blew a pair of leads, but ultimately they pulled through in extra time for a 4-3 victory over the St. Louis blues on Thursday night. Chicago never allowed St. Louis to lead during the game, but a shootout was necessary for the Blackhawks to get by the Blues at home.

After taking a 1-0 lead initially, the Blackhawks quickly blew the lead on a St. Louis goal just seconds later. A second period devoid of scoring followed, but Chicago's offense came alive early in the third period to give the Blackhawks a 3-1 advantage. The Blackhawks blew that lead, too, forcing things to overtime with a 3-3 tie.

In overtime, neither team was able to score, forcing things into a shootout. Both teams alternated scoreless attempts for three rounds until Chicago's Dave Bolland scored on Blues goaltender Jaroslav Halak. The Blues' Patrik Berglund couldn't respond on the next shot, giving the Blackhawks a hard-fought victory.
