Blackhawks Vs. Avalanche Final Score: Colorado Scores Three In The Third, Defeat 'Hawks 5-2

The Chicago Blackhawks lost their sixth straight game on Tuesday at the Pepsi Center when the Colorado Avalanche rolled off three unanswered goals in the third period to secure a 5-2 win. The loss drops Chicago to 29-17-7, while the Avalanche improve to 26-25-3 with the victory.

Colorado didn't waste much time in the third before letting Chicago know it meant business. Gabriel Landeskog tallied his 12th goal of the year off an assist from Paul Stastny just :38 seconds into the final period to give the Avs a 3-2 lead. Colorado would increase its lead to 4-2 when David Jones beat Chicago goalie Ray Emery to tally his 12th goal of the year. Colorado's Kyle Quincey would add an empty-netter to reach the final margin.
