Blackhawks Vs. Maple Leafs Score Update: Chicago Upends Toronto At The UC, Wins 5-4

For all of the action at each end of the ice through the first two periods on Wednesday night, you would have been correct to anticipate a wild ending to the Chicago Blackhawks vs. Toronto Maple Leafs game at the United Center. Instead, the first goal of the period was an empty-netter by 'Hawks forward Marian Hossa. Toronto would add a goal with four seconds remaining, but a 5-4 win for Chicago was already sealed.

The 'Hawks trailed 3-2 at the end of the first period and didn't take the lead until Hossa beat Toronto goalie Jonas Gustavsson with eight minutes left in the second period. Chicago would never look back.

Ray Emery replaced Corey Crawford in net for Chicago after Crawford allowed three goals in the first 10 shots he faced. Emery would come in and right the ship: turning away 24 shots from Toronto and allowing only Mike Brown's very late goal.
