Blackhawks Vs. Ducks Score Update: Chicago Trails After Two Periods

With the Chicago Blackhawks looking to put an end to a two-game losing streak, there is no denying the significance of the matchup with the Anaheim Ducks. Unfortunately, the inconsistency that has plagued this team has been on display again, as the Blackhawks trail 2-1 entering the third period.

Patrick Kane netted the opening goal of the game on an assist from Marian Hossa and Nick Leddy. However, the Blackhawks couldn't prevent a late equalizer to close out the first period, as Andrew Cogliano scored his 12th goal of the season to even the score. The Ducks took the lead halfway through the second period, when Sheldon Brookbank scored just his second goal of the season, with Teemu Selanne and Francois Beauchemin setting up the goal.

Ray Emery has been solid in the net, stopping 23/25 shot attempts. The Blackhawks have struggled to test Jonas Hiller, as the Anaheim goalie has only faced 15 shots through two periods.
