Blackhawks Vs. Sharks Score Update: 'Hawks Narrow San Jose Lead To One After Second

After a pointedly lackluster first period, the Chicago Blackhawks are back within striking distance of the San Jose Sharks. The 'Hawks entered the second period down 2-0 and exited down 3-2, thanks mostly to center Marcus Kruger, who scored consecutive goals for Chicago.

His first came with just under seven minutes gone in the period, when he put one past Antti Niemi for his fourth on the season, which came on assists from Nick Leddy and Patrick Sharp. Kruger would then light the lamp exactly three minutes later, a goal that was helped out by Sharp and Brent Seabrook.

The game would stay tied for almost six minutes before Sharks star Joe Thornton put San Jose up 3-2 on his 12th goal of the season.
