Jonathan Toews Injury: Toews Left Game With Undisclosed Injury

Stay connected for news and updates

Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews left Saturday night's game vs. the Nashville Predators in the second period with an undisclosed injury, and did not return for the remainder of the game. Toews was slashed on Friday night vs. the Florida Panthers and told reporters after the game that he had "taken a whack" on his left hand, but that he would be alright.

It's unclear whether Toews aggravated that injury, or if he suffered a new one that forced him to miss the time. According to Jesse Rogers of ESPN Chicago, replays of Toews on his last shift were inconclusive as to what the injury could be, and so far the Blackhawks have been mum about his status.
