Do you think Blackhawks right winger Jack Skille is crazy? You might - unless you're part of the team he's putting together to take the Polar Plunge to benefit the Special Olympics. Skille and his team will take a single plunge into the beautiful, icy waters of Lake Michigan at 8 a.m. on Feb. 26 at Northwestern University's North Beach in Evanston. You can take the plunge with Skille and receive a commemorative hooded sweatshirt by raising $75. But there's more!
If you raise $250, you'll receive an embroidered fleece blanket. For raising $500, you will receive a Jack Skille autographed puck and photo, an Under Armour Duffle Bag and an entry into the Grand Prize Drawing. For raising $1,000, you willl receive a Jack Skille autographed hockey stick, an Under Armour Quarter Zip Micro-Fleece and two entries to the Grand Prize Drawing.
The top four fundraisers will all be entered into the drawing for four tickets to a Blackhawks game and a post game meet and greet with Skille.
Only those entered into the Polar Plunge will be allowed in the water. Participants are encouraged to arrive at least an hour before the plunge.
