Blackhawks Vs. Islanders Score Update: Chicago Down 2-1 After First Period

The Chicago Blackhawks' troubles in net continued in the first period on Friday night against the New York Islanders, as two goals from the road team left Chicago down 2-1 going into the first intermission. The Islanders' Kyle Okposo struck first, scoring his third goal of the season, on the power play, after only four minutes had elapsed in the game.

Just over six minutes later, the Blackhawks tied the game at one on Andrew Brunette's sixth goal of the season, which came on assists by Sean O' Donnell and Dan Carcillo. The game would only be tied for a bit though, as the Islanders came back four minutes later and put themselves up 2-1 on Matt Moulson's ninth of the season.
