After recently moving into the top spot in the NHL standings, the Blackhawks (12-4-3) head to Calgary to take on the Flames (7-9-1) on Friday night.
After a 5-1 victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday night in the first game of their annual 'Circus Trip,' the Chicago Blackhawks (12-4-3) moved into the top spot in the NHL standings. Next up on the Circus Trip is a matchup with the NHL's fourth-worst team, the Calgary Flames (7-9-1).
When these teams met only one week ago, the Blackhawks were among the league's worst on the power play, but since then they have converted 6-14 win the man advantage on the ice. The Hawks are looking to extend their four-game winning streak, but will attempt to do so without Brent Seabrook, who is "progressing" but will sit out Friday's game according to coach Joel Quinneville. Michael Frolik is questionable.
GAME TIME: 7:00 p.m. CST at Scotiabank Saddledome, Calgary, AB.
