Blackhawks vs Oilers Score Update: Hawks Lead 3-1 After First Period

Hawks host Oilers before heading out on road.

The Hawks are playing their final home game tonight until November 29th, and boy are they treating their fans to an offensive show after the first period. The circus is coming to the United Center for the next couple of weeks which will put the Hawks on the road for two weeks.

The Captain put the Hawks on the board just five minutes into the game when Toews put one in the net with assists from Viktor Stalberg and Nick Leddy. It was Toews' 8th goal of the season.

The star of the first quarter for the Blackhawks was Steve Montador who scored his second and third goals of the season one of which was on the power play.

Ryan Smyth scored Edmonton's only goal in the first period. It was Smyth's 10th goal of the season for the Oilers.

Corey Crawford and Nikolai Khabibulin each have made seven saves for their respective clubs.
