Blackhawks Vs. Flames Score Update: Blackhawks Take Early 1-0 Lead

Stay connected for news and updates

Blackhawks defenseman Duncan Keith scored his first goal of the season to give the Blackhawks an early lead in Friday night's cross-division battle vs. the lowly Calgary Flames. Keith's goal, which came with a bit over 12 minutes to go in the first period, was assisted by Dan Carcillo and Patrick Sharp. The teams combined for 13 shots in the period, though Chicago goalie Ray Emery was able to stop all of Calgary's attempts on net.

A one goal deficit is arguably already a mountain to climb for the Flames, who are third to last in the NHL with only 30 goals on the season. Likewise, Flames leading scorer Rene Borque was held without a shot on net in the first.
