After snapping their first losing streak of the season with a 6-3 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday, the Chicago Blackhawks (9-4-3) return home to face the struggling Calgary Flames (6-7-1). In a welcome development, the second unit for the Blackhawks produced two power play goals in last night's game, but both the Blackhawks and Flames have struggled on the power play for most of the season. The Hawks currently rank 28th in power play efficiency, while the Flames sit at 21st overall.

The Hawks have been very strong at home so far this season (5-1-2), and then there is this little nugget on the team's recent dominance of the Flames:

Including the 2009 postseason, however, Chicago is 14-4-0 in its last 18 against Calgary, winning nine straight at home by a combined score of 42-20. Toews had five points in last season's series.
