Jonathan Toews' Shootout Goal Ices Win For Blackhawks Over Senators

Chicago, IL (Sports Network) – Jonathan Toews scored the game-winning goal in the shootout to lift Chicago past Ottawa, 3-2,

Toews beat Senators goaltender Brian Elliot just past his left leg to put the hosts up in the shootout, and Ottawa failed to score as its last shooter, Daniel Alfredsson, hit the left post to end the game.

Patrick Kane and Patrick Sharp tallied in regulation for the Blackhawks, who avoided a fifth loss in six games. Corey Crawford made 24 saves for the victors.

Alfredsson posted a regulation goal and an assist and Milan Michalek chipped in with a goal as Ottawa dropped its fourth straight contest.
