Bears Vs. Packers Score Update: Green Bay Leads 13-0 At The Half

Stay connected for news and updates

The first quarter of Thursday night's game between the Packers and the Bears ended scoreless, but the Packers manged to get on the scoreboard in the second quarter. Mason Crosby opened the scoring two minutes in with a 48-yard field goal. There was definitely a bit of controversy involved as the Bears were penalized for having 12 men on the field when the Packers lined up on 4th and 3. The 5-yard penalty was very close and it extended the drive that eventually opened the scoring.

Aaron Rodgers began to find some rhythm after the initial score, and he drove the Packers down the field to attempt a second field goal with just under two minutes to go in the half. The Packers then faked the field goal attempt and Tom Crabtree ended up in the endzone to make it a 10-point lead. Here's the score in .gif form:

The Bears would give the ball right back to the Packers after the touchdown as Tramon Williams picked off Jay Cutler. The Packers drove it into field-goal range again and Crosby addeda second field goal for Green Bay. The Packers will take a 13-point lead into the half.

The Bears will receive the ball to start the second half and they really could use a bit of sustained possession. They finished the first half with only 47 yards of offense, and the Packers defense has held them to a time of possession of 11:24.
